Educational Qualification
Trade Apprentice
- Candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institute in full-time regular mode.
Diploma Apprentice
- Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognized State Board, University, or Technical Institute.
- The diploma should have been completed within five years as of 30 June 2026.
Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering)
- Candidates must have completed a graduation degree in streams such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com., or equivalent from a recognized university or institution.
- The degree must have been completed within five years as of 30 June 2026.

Salary / Stipend Details
Trade Apprentice
- ₹9,600 per month for 1-year ITI course candidates
- ₹10,560 per month for 2-year ITI course candidates
Diploma Apprentice
- ₹10,900 per month
Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering)
- ₹12,300 per month.
Selection Process
There will be no written examination for this apprenticeship recruitment. Selection will be purely merit-based.
Stage 1 – Merit-Based Shortlisting
Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in:
- ITI
- Diploma
- Graduation
Additional Selection Rules
- Candidates residing within a 16 km radius of MAPS Kalpakkam will receive preference.
- If local vacancies remain unfilled, selection will proceed based on the general merit list.
In case of a tie:
- Older candidates will be given preference.
- If the date of birth is also the same, candidates with higher Class 10 marks will be preferred.
Stage 2 – Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies during verification.
Applications containing false information or fake documents will be rejected immediately.
Stage 3 – Medical Examination
Candidates must satisfy the required medical standards.
Minimum Physical Standards
- Height: 137 cm
- Weight: 25.4 kg
- Chest Expansion: 3.8 cm
Candidates suffering from tuberculosis, infectious diseases, or any serious medical condition may be declared unfit.
Stage 4 – Police Verification
As MAPS Kalpakkam is a highly restricted area, selected candidates must submit:
