1. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed the 12th standard (or equivalent) from a recognized board or university.2. Selection Process:
- The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- Questions will be available in both English and Hindi.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
3. Exam Pattern:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 questions – 50 marks
- General Awareness: 50 questions – 50 marks
- English Language & Comprehension: 100 questions – 100 marks
- Total: 200 questions – 200 marks
- Duration: 2 hours
SSC Stenographer Syllabus 2026
General Intelligence & Reasoning:- This section includes both verbal and non-verbal questions such as analogies, similarities, differences, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, and number series.
- Questions will assess general knowledge of the environment, current affairs, and everyday observations. Topics include history, geography, economy, polity, constitution, sports, and scientific research.
- This section tests vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and overall understanding of the English language, along with writing ability.
Skill Test (Stenography)
Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for the skill test.
