Eligibility Criteria:
Scientific Assistant / B:
- Diploma in Engineering of 3 (Three) years duration (after SSC / HSC) OR HSC + 2 (Two) years Diploma Course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE). Diploma in Engineering should be in the following disciplines:
- SA/B (Civil) – Diploma in Civil with not less than 60% marks
- SA/B (Electrical) – Diploma in Electrical with not less than 60% marks
- SA/B (Instrumentation) – Diploma in Instrumentation with not less than 60% marks
- SA/B (Electronics) – Diploma in Electronics with not less than 60% marks
- SA/B (Mechanical) – Diploma in Mechanical with not less than 60% marks
- For candidates applying for SA/B (Computer Science): BSc. (Computer Science) with not less than 60% marks / BSc with not less than 60% marks + 1 - year Diploma in Computer Science with not less than 60% marks / BSc. (Statistics) with not less than 60% marks + 1 - year Diploma in Computer Science with not less than 60% marks.
NOTE :- Candidates who entered the Diploma program directly into the 2nd year through lateral entry after completing Class 10 (SSC) and ITI are not eligible to apply.
For ST/SA (Diploma Holders in Engineering):
Candidates applying for the Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) post through the Engineering Diploma route must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification: A Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline, recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Course Duration: 3-year Diploma after completing SSC (10th) or HSC (10+2).
OR 2-year Diploma through Lateral Entry to 2nd year after HSC (10+2), approved by AICTE, with at least 60% marks.
Important: Candidates who have pursued a Diploma through Lateral Entry to 2nd year after 10th (SSC) + ITI are not eligible.
Language Requirement: Applicants must have studied English as one of the subjects either at SSC (10th) or HSC (12th) level.
Relevant Disciplines:
ST/SA (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering
ST/SA (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
ST/SA (Instrumentation): Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
ST/SA (Electronics): Diploma in Electronics Engineering
For ST/SA (Health Physics):
Applicants for the Scientific Assistant (Health Physics) post must fulfill these requirements:
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant subjects.
Eligible Subject Combinations:
Physic as Principal subject with Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science as subsidiary subjects.
OR Chemistry as Principal subject with Physics/Mathematics/Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science as subsidiary subjects.
OR Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage.
Language Requirement: Candidates must have studied English at either SSC (10th) or HSC (12th) level.
Mathematics Condition: Candidates with Mathematics as the Principal subject in B.Sc. are not eligible.
